is located in Shanwei city, Guangdong province, the southern
fishing port with splendid scenery. It is a large-scale comprehensive
fishery enterprise, which predominantly deals in seafood products.
The company is one of the mainstream enterprises in Shanwei
city, collecting aquatic product culturing, aquatic product
processing, domestic and foreign trade at a whole. |

Our company has been adopting the
management principle of “credit, quality, innovation, development”
and pursuing the goal of creating domestically first-class and
internationally advanced fishery enterprise since its establishment.
We have established and implemented the HACCP quality control
system and have gained hygienic registration certificate from
the National Certificate Supervision Committee as well as hygienic
certificate of FDA by the USA. We have also gained hygienic
certificate from South Korea, and HACCP Confirmation Certificate
from the USA for aquatic products exportation. Cathay Food Co.,
Ltd was awarded the title “outstanding civilly operated enterprise”
by both the CPC Committee and the People’s Government of Shanwei
city. Cathay also gained in 2004 “leading agricultural enterprise
of Shanwei city ” and awarded in the same year “AAA quality
credit enterprise ” by the Quality Credit and Evaluation Center
of China and “national quality-creditable enterprises” in 2005. |
We are now focusing on purchasing
& selling, importation & exportation, blast freezing,
refrigeration of aquatic goods as well as minced fish meat products
and deep-processing goods alike. Our commercial operation covers
various kinds of iced seafood, namely blast-frozen fish, shrimp,
crab, shellfish, and minced fish meat products (fresh fish-meat
paste, fish-meat ball, fish-meat stuffed dumpling, fish-meat
cake, fish-meat ball with pork flavor and so on in small packing).
In order to meet the market demand with green and healthy products
we have recently bought cold-wind dryer and minced fish meat
products machines. We have now a daily blast-frozen capacity
of up to 30 tons, and a refrigeration capacity of 1000 tons.
We have an estimated yearly processing production that reaches
5000 tons. Our products conform fully to the National Health
Standards and hence have a widespread reputation among consumers,
which therefore offers us a good prospect for further development.
And the products export mainly to Japan, South Korea, America,
Hong Kong and other domestic and international markets.
The company adopts the pattern “company + base + fishermen”,
establishes nuisance-free cultivation base in Meilong Farm,
and rents shallows and tidelands more than 1,500 Chinese acres
to culture tilapia in Taohe, Chikeng, Nantu and other places.
At present this corporation is constructing a deep-processing
factory of fishery and farm products. As for this new factory,
we have drafted newly a land of 70,000 square meters and now
the construction plan, the application for construction, the
land leveling, the fence construction, the installment of water
and electrical facilities, temporary office building construction
have been completed. And we have planned to invest RMB 150 million
to construct a deep-processing factory of high-quality aquatic
products in three phases to process different types of fishery
products. Up to now, the civil work and principal part like
power distribution, refrigeration engine room and cold storage
room of the first phase have been basically finished. And it
will enter the installment of the internal facility of the first
phrase and the second and the third construction period. After
the new factory completes, it can produce thousands of tons
of high-quality tilapia every year for exportation and some
fishery and farm products to meet domestic and international
market demand. We will keep the goal of “strengthening forestry,
exerting management, highlighting administration and promoting
unceasingly” to realize the scale multiplication, industrialization,
general adoption of market principles, capitalization of the
seafood fishery economy of Shanwei Cathay Food Co., Ltd.
